لـ \ مع \ عند
Please review this note after practicing sentences 1-10 of AK Drill 5 page 107, and before completing sentences 11-14 of the same drill.
In addition to attaching to object pronouns, the prepositions عند, مع, لـ can also be combined directly with nouns. When that happens, لـ is attached to the noun with which it is combined while مع and عند remain unattached. This change in structure does not affect the meaning. For example:
